The other day there came onto the telly a video of Meat performing ‘Bat Out Of Hell’ live and I made Rach watch the whole thing on the promise of there being a large red bat at the end of it. Unfortunately it was a different recording with no large bat. This video was the one I was expecting:
It is a very impressive bat I’m sure you will agree but it still struggles to upstage some of the mullets on display. Anyway, have a good look and decide whether Meat Loaf is hairy or bad.
EDIT: The video above has been removed. Still, I am sure that you all know enough about Meat Loaf to judge him hairy or bad without the aid of youtube. Oddly, they seem to be suggesting that what we really want to watch now is a video about a drunk guinea pig. I haven’t and I implore you to join me in not.

Here is some sheep wool being used as mulch:

This photograph was taken yesterday in sark – a nice wee island with horses instead of cars, long dusty roads, blackberries and sloes, mazes and tea garden after tea garden upon tea garden. They also have lots of wool but can do nothing with it as it is too expensive to export for too little return. So, they have turned to using it as mulch!
As always – hairy or bad?

Home-grown and home-pickled gherkins, or uborka as they say in Hungary. Gherkins are surprisingly hairy when growing, covered in short sharp spiky hair, like aggressive stubble. But they are not so hairy when pickled. Are they bad though? Choose wisely.
